We had brought the crate with us, planning to put
She and her husband came running out to help, and we quickly cleaned up Herzog/his cage; they traded blankets with us for one that wasn't covered in poop. Unfortunately Mr. Lobster, was too far gone to save, and had to be discarded. I guess Herzog isn't a fan of crustaceans. Jon will have to get Herzog a new special toy to keep at his house.
Re-bundled in to the cage, we tried to leave again, but Herzog began crying so mournfully that we decided to let him sit on my lap for the drive. I know, I know, that's bad, but he looked so scared, it would have felt cruel to leave him in the cage at that point. He quickly fell asleep on my lap and stayed there until we got back to my house.
Then he pooped on the floor. This is going to be a long week.
Puppy pictures later!
